The Gorge

Fun story I want to share with you all.

Way back in the olden days, circa 1994, I had the joy of acting in a film, called White Wolves II:  Legend of the Wild. The film was shot in a tiny town in Idaho. The highlight of this experience, by far, was meeting my soul sister, and one of my besties in the world, Elizabeth Berkley.

They had put the actors up in a motel where there happened to only be one room available with a bathtub. Since both of us were bath girls, we opted to share the room until another room with a bath opened up.

As fate would have it, that lone available bathtub started a lifelong love story.

To meet and dive into friendship with a fellow intuitive, deeply sensitive and loving friend was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.

In fact, when that other motel room with the tub came available, needless to say we decided to continue to share rooms for the entire month we shot the film together.

The pinnacle of our experience during filming in those Idaho backwoods was Elizabeth finding out she had gotten the starring role in Showgirls. That night after we filming wrapped, we walked into our little motel room, and every single surface was filled with the exact same bouquet from the tiny local florist!

All from a trove of potential Hollywood managers and agents. As two early 20s but very wise girls, Elizabeth and I stood at the door taking it all in. Elizabeth said, “Ele, let’s never forget this moment. These are the same people that only a few days ago could’ve cared less.”

We both had our values intact on what actually matters in life at that young age. And that has continued to shape our friendship and support system through the decades.

A few years later, I introduced Elizabeth to her husband, Greg Lauren, at our weekly dance class with the incredible teacher Cindera Che.

And as they say, the rest was history.

Through the years we have had tons of late night bathtub conversations that go on for hours. We’ve been each other’s sounding board, champions and vision holders.

At the beginning of my venture into designing jewelry, Elizabeth hosted my first ever trunk show. Again, a champion and a supporter on every single level for most of my life.

We have loved each other through the highs and lows of life and always been in each other’s corner.

And…Elizabeth is the original club member of Emerald Divinity necklace wearers.

A few months ago, Elizabeth got an acting job on my guilty pleasure show Cobra Kai.

When I say that I was thrilled and overjoyed, it is understatement! Elizabeth called me the instant she got the job and asked if she could borrow some special jewelry pieces for her character. She wasn’t allowed to tell me anything about it, except that there was a Crystal related theme to it.

So we put together a beautiful look for her to wear for the show. When the episode came out a few weeks ago, there she is literally  reading tarot cards and talking about crystals and trying to explain to one of the characters on the show about energy.

Don’t we love when life imitates are imitates life?!

I am so grateful for the continued unfolding of the mystery, magic, joy that life has to offer around every corner. And especially when it’s related to people I love!

Just wanted to share this fun story with you all. And let’s celebrate all the incredible deep friendships that we have. They really are the foundation and support for all of us in so many ways.
